  My friends! I hope things are going well for each and every one of you. For me, things are great. I am officially in Ghana, in my area, with my companion, and life is good.  On Tuesday morning I left for the mission home with my group of 19. The Accra MTC was delightful. Our 5 days there were due to a scheduling error, but God's hand was in that, as it is in everything.  I've seen that so much this week. My area is just perfect for me. I'm serving in the city of Cape Coast where I will have so many opportunities to grow and grow and hopefully not get hit by a motorcycle or car.  The streets are crazy here. They're very narrow, and everyone drives fast. Motorcycles are much more popular than cars, and everyone drives very fast. Also, horns are very popular and essential to not getting run over. Changes and Big Thanks

Good morning everyone! It's been a wild week. I've had so many reminders this week that this is His work, not mine. He can do it however He wants to and it's my job to just uncomplainingly do what He says.  This week we had 3 exchanges. In a row. It was wild but also fun. I spent Wednesday with Elder Muyaya, from Congo. He's learning English and doing great. His desire to learn it is really high and he'll speak really well by the end. I just told him to keep working on it the way he has been. Thursday was with Elder Lungu, from Zambia. That guy is so amazing. He really knows why he is here and what he's here to do. His conversion story is so incredible as well. He was baptized just two years ago and is so strong. His knowledge of the gospel also kind of blows me away. He knows his stuff.  My last exchange was with Elder Osauro from Uganda. He's a brand new Elder and has a lot to figure out still but if he wants it to work, it will. If we have a desire to ser...

Elder Gong

 Good afternoon everybody. This week was really cool. We had some experiences that I feel typify experiences I've had throughout my mission.  The first was a wonderful exchange we had this Tuesday. I was with Elder Alfian, the Liberian legend. We went to Ankwanda and felt prompted to go to a member's house right away. When we get there, the member wasn't around, but I remembered my previous companion telling me that there was an English-speaking sister in a house across the street. We went to that house and met Hannah, a sister who stayed in Liberia for 20 years who lit right up when Elder Alfian mentioned he was Liberian. She's been to church several times in the past and accepted an invitation to be baptized during our lesson.  Many times during my mission, I've felt prompted to do things that I otherwise would not have done. This experience is an example of that. I need all the help I can get; therefore I want to keep following promptings for the rest of my life....
