Surprise Surgery and Salt of the Earth

Good morning! I hope you're all doing great this morning. This week was simultaneously very eventful and very boring.  Part of the reason it was eventful and the whole reason why it was boring is that I got my ingrown toe nail fixed on Tuesday. Yay! It was an eye (and toe) opening experience to go to the doctor in Ghana. Even though I came on a day when you can't normally schedule surgery,  they were really nice and were able to get the surgeon to come and see me. It took the whole day, but it was a blessing to be able to get it all done in one swoop. It hurt pretty bad that first day, but since then it's been good. We spent the night at the hospital which was also fun. Elder Momoh is a very patient and fun adventure buddy.  So that was the exciting part of the week. The doctor said I should avoid walking on my foot for a few days, so we spent a lot of time in the apartment. It was hard to do nothing, but it was also cool to study and rest small. Hello from Cape Coast

  Howfah my friends. All is well in Ghana. I hope you know I love you all and I'm praying for you. Some scattered musings from the mind of Elder Johnson: • MY SISTER GOT MARRIED! So exciting. I had a smile on my face the whole week thinking about how happy her and my brother Mason are going to be. I'm sure most of you already know but I thought I'd share anyway. My apartment mates and companion are tired of hearing about it haha.  • We will hopefully have two baptisms this week on Saturday, so please pray for Jestina and Helena!  • People in Ghana are so nice. Like even people we don't know will stay hello • MEMBERS LEAD MISSIONARY WORK! We've had some amazing referrals this week. From Sic to Sick and Hopefully Back Again

  Good evening! I hope you're all doing well. This week was nice, but a little challenging. Elder Bukasa, who is really sic, got really sick. We went to the hospital, and they said he has mumps. What the heck. The diagnosis process was a little interesting, but hopefully she got it right. The doctor literally just asked him his symptoms, looked at his face, and said that it was mumps. The whole visit including medication cost less than ten dollars though so maybe it's OK.  That kinda slowed our week down though. On Tuesday we said bye to everyone going on transfer and had an ok proselyting day. Wednesday I went to Cape Coast for the transfer meeting and came back with Elder Egwatu, our new apartment mate and Elder Clemons's new companion. He's from Nigeria but lived in Ghana for a few years so he speaks twi which is awesome. He seems like a really cool guy.  Thursday we went to the hospital in the morning and then worked till closing time, but my companion was mega sick...
