Banku and Blessings

  This week was wonderful and challenging all at the same time. I've eaten more banku this week then any other week of my life by far. Banku is like the corn part of a tamale except it's in a big ball and you dip it in soup and eat it. It's nice. We paid a member to make us a bunch of it so now we make a big pot of soup and eat it with the banku. When I say we I mean Elder Momoh makes the soup and I chop the onions and microwave the banku. We all have our role in this great work lol.  We had some big miracles this week in our area and companionship this week though. One thing we've struggled with this week is getting people to help us translate what we teach for those who don't speak English. Our branch is pretty small already and the members are all really busy, but our branch president and his wife worked with us twice this week, and we were able to get help from Evelyn as well, a stellar young woman in our branch. Bad Analogies and the Atlantic

  Hey everyone! I sure love and miss you all. This week was kind of like eating candy corn-- not your favourite thing ever but you just keep on eating because it's nicer than not eating. And before you realize it the bag is gone and you've eaten it all!  That's what this week felt like. We had some great moments and some rougher moments but we never stopped moving. We finished the bag/week, and we're ready for another one.  Anyways, I have more to share than bad analogies. This week had some really sweet moments in it. I learned some things this week that I would like to share.  The first is that God is aware of us and gives us what we need exactly when we need it.  I learned this in many different ways this week. On Wednesday we had an exchange with the APs so we traveled to Cape Coast. On the tro ride there I was feeling so, so down. 20 Years, 20 People

Good morning everyone! This week was wonderful. A lot of big stuff happened and while we had some disappointments, we also had some really huge blessings and miracles.  One big miracle is I am now 20 years old. Yup. No longer a teenager! I'm a big boy now. My companion is 27 so he's not all that impressed with this milestone, but it's OK. I'm old now. And thank you all for your kind birthday wishes! I felt very supported this week.  One cool coincidence that I wish we had planned was that we found 20 new people this week, which is the most we've ever found. 20 years, 20 people. I wish I could say we had planned it out and worked really hard to accomplish our previously set goal, but our finding goal for this week was 5. Still, it was cool. One lady named Vivian seems especially promising. We gave her a pamphlet on Friday and when we came back Saturday she had read the whole thing and had a ton of questions. I love lessons like that.
