Transfer Boss Gets Transferred

Good evening everybody! I hope you all had a fantastic week. Ours was great. Here are some of the highlights.  First of all, on Tuesday we were able to go to Ntiamoah (our small village). It was really cool. Our buddy Isaac just got called as group leader there, and he's so on it. He wants Ntiamoah to be a branch before the end of the year, which is a really big goal, but we're excited to help him do it. We had some good lessons throughout the day and ate some nice fufu with Isaac and his family before we left. Unfortunately, the van going back to town came just as we started eating so we had to eat really fast, but it was still really delicious. I love Ghana. The whole van waited for us to eat our food before leaving.  Wednesday was the major highlight of the week. Every six weeks we have zone conference, which is an all day gathering of 3 zones of about 10-20 missionaries each where we are trained, inspired, and fed. That's how it normally is.  However, because Presiden

My Internal Compass Doesn't Work but My Companion Does!

Good morning everybody! This week brought a lot of changes. Monday was my last day proselyting with Elder Fatoma! I'll miss that guy. He taught me a lot. On Tuesday after district council the Elders in Nuamakrom, a small village in our zone, came with their luggage and then spent the day in our area to save travel money. They and the Nyinase Elders, who also stay kind of far, slept at our apartment that night. It was a good time.  Wednesday morning we got up early to join the van to transfers. I stopped part way at Hemang to be with Elder Amevor there. We watched the transfer meeting there together on zoom. He's a great guy and good missionary so we enjoyed. Plus he fed me a really nice veggie stew and rice that was much needed and delicious.  The transfer meeting was cool. More than half of our small zone went on transfer. I'll miss those that left but I'm sure we'll enjoy here with the new ones.  Speaking of new ones, my companion is Elder Barile from Nige

20 Years, 20 People

Good morning everyone! This week was wonderful. A lot of big stuff happened and while we had some disappointments, we also had some really huge blessings and miracles.  One big miracle is I am now 20 years old. Yup. No longer a teenager! I'm a big boy now. My companion is 27 so he's not all that impressed with this milestone, but it's OK. I'm old now. And thank you all for your kind birthday wishes! I felt very supported this week.  One cool coincidence that I wish we had planned was that we found 20 new people this week, which is the most we've ever found. 20 years, 20 people. I wish I could say we had planned it out and worked really hard to accomplish our previously set goal, but our finding goal for this week was 5. Still, it was cool. One lady named Vivian seems especially promising. We gave her a pamphlet on Friday and when we came back Saturday she had read the whole thing and had a ton of questions. I love lessons like that. We had a similar lesson with Isaa

Dump Trucks and the Kingdom of God

Good afternoon everybody! We had a good week with some fun stuff. I learned a lot in my studies and in our teaching, and we had some fun too. We also got to ride in a dump truck the other day, after I jokingly waved it down like a taxi so that was exciting. Here's a little about the week.  First off all, last week Monday we had our zone activity. It was a lot of fun. We went to our district president's giant school campus that he is the director of and played soccer, basketball, and board games. We also bought food. It was so much fun, and we took a lot of pictures. I don't know if they sent last week or not so I'm trying again today. Hopefully you receive them because they're awesome.  We also had another exchange this week, which was fun. I was with Elder Donko, another native Ghanaian, and we enjoyed ourselves. However, we didn't speak Twi in a single lesson! All our lessons with Twi speakers feel through, and though we found some new people, they were all
