Good-byes and Gratitude
Good evening! I hope you all had a great week. Mine was good. We had some great moments. I'm going on transfer! That was pretty crazy. I'll miss Praso and the people inside it but I'm excited for something new.
On Wednesday we had zone council and interviews with President and Sister Morgan. It was our first in person interviews with them and they were so, so nice. They're where they're supposed to be.
We were also able to teach Brother Agyemang this week and re-extend his baptismal date to this Sunday. He was supposed to be baptized yesterday but we weren't able to meet him all week. He's still down to make covenants though and is so, so peaceful about it. In Alma 32:16 it says, "blessed is he that believeth in the word of God, and is baptized without stubbornness of heart, yea, without being brought to know the word, or even compelled to know, before they will believe." Brother Agyemang has asked a lot of questions, but has always been quick to accept and believe. I'm so excited for him to be baptized!
I won't be here for his baptism because of the transfer, but it will still happen. Getting to know him and the other people in Praso has been awesome.
I feel like I've grown a lot here. Some of my hardest moments have been here in Praso. But also some of my most joyful times. I've learned a lot about being emotionally self reliant and just doing your best. And we've seen so many blessings. There are great members here. And we've met and taught so many wonderful, open people about Jesus Christ and his gospel. God is there. He'll never abandon us. And I love Him and all of you so much.
Love,
Elder Johnson
