Fufu Eaters Preach the Gospel of Peace

Good morning everyone! I hope you're doing great. This week flew by. A lot of stuff happened.

First of all, like you know, we moved last week. It was fine, except our power and our water weren't working for the whole week. That made the week more exciting for sure. It was honestly pretty fun. We had water outside in our tank so we just fetched it in with buckets and not having power gave us an excuse to go and sleep over at our old apartment so we could charge our phone and hang out with the brethren. There was a lot of back and forth travel and wahala, but we still got His work done as best we could.

I've also eaten fufu almost every day this week. I'm slowly falling in love with Ghana and its heavy, spicy, absolutely delicious food. Pray for my body that it will be able to keep handling it haha.

Update on our people: Enoch is hopefully getting baptized this Sunday if his grandma gets back from Accra in time. Pray for him! He's doing really well and we've finished teaching him everything, he just needs to get baptized.
Martin is doing OK. He didn't come watch conference yesterday which was tough, but we're hoping we can have a serious conversation with him about it and get it figured out. He's still on baptismal date for the 23rd and if he'll act and come to church, that'll stick.

Anthony is kind of absent, but we're still hopeful. We weren't able to contact him again after our phone lesson. His girlfriend who is a member invited him to come and watch conference though so that was really good. We don't know yet if he did or not but we'll find out today. Pray for him!

This week was good though. I felt the Spirit so much while teaching our people which was so great. My testimony is so different than it was a year ago. This whole thing is true. The gospel of Jesus Christ is restored to the earth and it can be found in its fulness in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. That is the truth, and it brings me so much peace.

That is what we're bringing people. Peace. We taught a guy named Francis this week who has so many questions about salvation. About heaven, hell, and what will get you to either place. He's terrified that when Jesus comes he won't be ready.

He went on for a long time about his uncertainties and fears, and we listened. We were then able to share our testimonies with him about the gospel of peace. About the peace that comes from knowing God and what He expects from us. About the peace that comes from knowing God's true nature.

I'm not sure how that affected him. It didn't really stick. However, it dang sure affected me. I realized as I was teaching that I knew what I was saying was the truth. That the gospel really does bring peace. That there's nowhere else you can find that peace except through Christ and His true gospel. It's incredible. His gospel, like D+C 27:16 says,  helps us "Stand, therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, having on the breastplate of righteousness, and your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace, which I have sent mine angels to commit unto you;.". This is the truth!

I really felt that all week, and it carried into conference. The gospel is true. It's real. It's powerful. God speaks through prophets and his prophet is President Nelson. I know that's true.

Love you all!
