Elubo Nsubo

Good morning! I hope you're all doing great this Monday. This week was fantastic. We had a baptism, transfer news, and lots of powerful missionary work.

To explain the title, the Twi word for baptism is "nsubo" or at least that's what it sounds like. I'm not sure what the correct spelling is. And my area is Elubo. So since I came I've been waiting for a baptism so that a) someone can make their first covenant with God and make themselves a candidate for eternal life with God in the celestial kingdom and b) so that I can name my email Elubo Nsubo which is majorly fun to say. By the grace of God that fateful baptism happened this Saturday.

Emmanuel is the one we baptized. He's 11, and even though his mother is a very less active member who I have never met in person, he still manages to come to church every single week. When I got here, he had been to church 17 times already, and he really wanted to get baptized. It was so great to help him make that happen. He's going to continue to help the branch out a lot.

It's been a lot of fun lately. I feel very involved in the branch, more than any of my other units. In other places I've served, it was like branch work is on this side of the road and missionary work is on the other. Like we were still going the same direction, but not really together. Here everything just moves together. President Prince knows all of our progressing people and asks about them and the members help us teach and it's really great. We're starting to get systems in place to get help translating and things are starting to roll a lot more smoothly. The language is still kind of a challenge but way better than it was at first, thanks to our members.

Which is good cause WE'RE BOTH STAYING! I cannot even describe how happy I was when the call came. Elder Momoh is the coolest guy every and Elubo is dope and life is good so I'm very glad to stay where I am. God is there and the church is true!

That is all I have to say. Thanks for reading.

Love,
Elder Johnson
