From Sic to Sick and Hopefully Back Again

Image
Good evening! I hope you're all doing well. This week was nice, but a little challenging. Elder Bukasa, who is really sic, got really sick. We went to the hospital, and they said he has mumps. What the heck. The diagnosis process was a little interesting, but hopefully she got it right. The doctor literally just asked him his symptoms, looked at his face, and said that it was mumps. The whole visit including medication cost less than ten dollars though so maybe it's OK.  That kinda slowed our week down though. On Tuesday we said bye to everyone going on transfer and had an ok proselyting day. Wednesday I went to Cape Coast for the transfer meeting and came back with Elder Egwatu, our new apartment mate and Elder Clemons's new companion. He's from Nigeria but lived in Ghana for a few years so he speaks twi which is awesome. He seems like a really cool guy.  Thursday we went to the hospital in the morning and then worked till closing time, but my companion was mega sick

Good morning everyone! I hope you're doing well. I didn't have time to send an email last week, so I'm gonna just write this one first thing in the morning so I don't run out of time like I did last week. This is a gospel of progression.  This week was great. First of all, transfer news came and WE'RE BOTH STAYING! It's a miracle. I really thought one of us would go because we've been together for two transfers, but we're still here! I'm so grateful to be spending another transfer with Elder Bukasa in the promised land of Takoradi. We have a lot of fun together and do good work. This will also be the first time I've had a companion for more than two transfers so hopefully he doesn't get tired of me.  On Wednesday, we had exchanges with the zone leaders. I was in our area with Elder Clemons, who is awesome and who is also not going on transfer. Even though we live with the zone leaders so we see them every day, I feel like I still learned a

Sorry!

Good evening! There will be no real email tonight, due to some time consuming wahala that we had to deal with. We had to go give the church key to our first Councillor at like 9 tonight so there's no time. I had a great week though! I also have no pictures to share. I hope you all will forgive me.  Love,  Elder Johnson

Why Not?

Good morning everyone! I hope you all had a great week. It was a good week. We had a good lesson with Daniel, who is progressing pretty well, and we were even able to have Romeo, one of our great members, there for the lesson. We taught about baptism and priesthood and asked Daniel if he would be baptized. He said, "Why not?" Yay! However, when we tried to pick a specific date, he wasn't able to decide, and he had to travel so he couldn't make it to our next appointment so we haven't really talked to him about it since then. Hopefully he'll be back soon and we can nail down a date. I really like him a lot. He's a good guy. Pray for Daniel!  This week we also had exchanges with Elder Hadfield, our district leader. It was fun. I was in their area, called Anaji, with Elder Jenkins, who is Elder Hadfield's companion. We had a good time. Elder Jenkins is a really great elder. He started his mission in Texas because of a visa issue so he's only been here
