Water Thieves and Invitations

Good morning everyone! I hope you're all doing well. This week was freaking sweet. It also went by so fast!

In reference to the title, someone broke the pipe that connects to our huge water tank and took all the water inside of it! Kind of a random thing to steal I know. Apparently they've been doing it to our neighbors' too though, so keep an eye out for water thieves this week.

Some miracles this week:

Janet. Janet is so incredible. She's the one that was being taught by missionaries in another area of our zone who we found miraculously a few weeks ago. We invited her to Church that Sunday and she came! She hasn't missed church since and wants to get baptized. However, she and her husband haven't been married yet, which means she can't be baptized right now. We taught her about that and she responded by bringing her entire family to church! Her twins and their dad are super cool and Richforce (the kid's dad) agreed to meet with us on Wednesday. It was so cool to watch them walk into church as a family this Sunday.

Another pair of miracles are Juliet and Olivia. They were both invited to church by separate members and both want to be baptized. They're both awesome and such a testimony of member-missionary work. They both were just kinda chilling, not going to any church, and their friends were like, hey come to church with me and they both said yes. It reminds me of 1 Nephi 8 when Lehi sees his family far from the tree of life. Once he got to the tree and partook of the fruit, he looked for his family and showed them as "they stood as if they knew not whither they should go." His family didn't know what to do. Surely they wanted the peace and happiness and yummy fruit that Lehi was experiencing, but they didn't know where to go.

So we have to show them where to go! Like Lehi and Mary and Eugene (Mary and Eugene are the members who invited Olivia and Juliet to the church) we have to "beckon unto them" and "say unto them with a loud voice that they should come unto me, and partake of the fruit, which was desirable above all other fruit." Maybe they will come, maybe they won't. But we should beckon all the same. I want to be that type of member when I get home.

Anyway, this week was great. Elder Hendrickson is great. The zone is great. The members are great. The area is great. All I need now are prayers for Janet and her family and also prayers that I don't go on transfer because news comes on Saturday!

Love,
Elder Johnson

P.s. Also huge shoutout to Sister Mills, Sister Rogers, Sister Lameta, Sister Layton, Sister Bowie, and Sister Mach for finishing their missions this week! They're the sisters in our MTC district and they're all going home this next week. You guys are awesome.
