Electness

This week was wonderful! The title of this email is probably not a real word, but I feel like it conveys how things are going in Elubo now. In our apartment I have a scripture wall in front of the desk where I study. Anytime I find a scripture that I like, I write it on a sticky note and stick it to the wall. It's kinda fun.

There's one scripture that I recently added that I've been thinking about a lot. It's Doctrine and Covenants 29:7. It reads, "And ye are called to bring to pass the gathering of mine elect; for mine elect hear my voice and harden not their hearts." In Elubo we've recently been blessed to be able to find and teach some very elect people.
The first is Isaac. He's awesome. We found him a month or two ago while visiting a member. We invited him to church and instead of giving excuses, he straightaway promised to come. And he showed up! His work schedule has made it difficult for us to meet him very regularly but we've been working and his baptism is finally scheduled for this Sunday! I'm so excited for him.
We also have been working with Alfred, who I mentioned in my last email. He's also very elect. He came to church for the second time yesterday and in our lesson during the week said he wants to get baptized. I'm so hyped for him as well.
We also have some elect members that have been blessing our lives. The Apraku family was baptized 7 months ago and they feed us almost every day. You read that right. Not every week. Every day. Brother and Sister Apraku are also hilarious and their little kids are so cute, so visiting them is always a highlight.
It was a really good week. Elder Ngulube is a great elder and we've been having a lot of fun and working hard. I'm glad to be serving with him and I'm happy to still be in Elubo. We've been having a lot of success getting our recent converts to church as well. Life is good, the church is true. I love you all!
Love,
Elder Johnson
