The Natural Man vs. The Willing Spirit: Fight Night

Good morning people that I love! I hope you all had a great week. We certainly did. We had some huge unexpected miracles and a lot of learning opportunities as well. And some weird but cool side notes as well.  The first kind of weird but cool side note is that I now enjoy playing games. Like card games and stuff. I really didn't before my mission but now I do! It's crazy. Elder Ogdon, one of the missionaries in our zone used to work in a game store so he has a lot and I've also bought some so it's been cool. We've been keeping Grandpa Beck in business lately.  Also, fun aside, we are moving apartments today. Our old apartment was being remodeled because the roof was leaking and the walls were moldy but they've reroofed and repainted it so hopefully that's done. I think it'll be cool to be staying in our area again, but I'll miss the Elders in the old apartment it was fun to stay in a 6-man for awhile.  The most important part of this week was Sunday

Good evening everybody! This week was so great. We had some amazing things happen that I'm excited to talk about here.  Wednesday we had zone conference and MY GOODNESS it was wonderful. President Morgan is inspired of God. I have such a testimony that he is the man who is supposed to lead this mission right now.  He's just been watching and stuff since he came but now he's making changes. The main thing he did was change our schedule so that instead of leaving at 11:30 and getting back at 7:30 we leave at 9 and get back at 6:30. We do most our studies in the evening now which is new.  This might not seem like a huge changes to all of you, but this announcement kinda rocked our mission. It's going to give us so much more time in our areas and help us be more productive.  I'm so excited about it and I know it will work. It's been a little tough to adjust to but we've had so many miracles. Here are some of them:  Enoch is doing so well! He said we shouldn'

Good evening everyone! I hope you all had an awesome week. Ours was great. Some highlights were transfers (mostly just because our apartment is still awesome), MLC, and some awesome experiences with some people we're teaching.  First of all, Blessing is going to get baptized! She's the daughter of Sarah, an incredible recent convert who I love who we've been working with a lot. The delay has been because Blessing's dad hasn't given his permission for her to be baptized yet. However, Sarah talked to him about it and told us he was good. We weren't sure if that was enough or if we needed to talk to him ourselves too, so we had President Morgan talk to her today while he was here for stake conference and he said we're good to baptize her! She's such a smart kid and she's very ready to get baptized. She agreed to be baptized on the 25th, and we've made plans to teach her everything before then but pray that it'll all work out.  Another miracle to

Hey everyone! I hope you all had a great week. Mine was awesome, albeit a little crazy. We had some big miracles and big news this week.  We had a lot of fun times this week as well. On Tuesday I got to go on exchange with Elder Seeley, my former companion who I trained almost a year ago. All of our appointments ended up bouncing, but it was still a really great exchange. I loved seeing how he's grown and progressed so much over the past year while still retaining his personality and stuff. It was a lot of fun. He's a really good Elder.  We also had the Facebook team come to our zone this week and shoot some music videos. It was a ton of fun. They have a fun production-producer-deadline- competent energy while also still being focused and dedicated missionaries. I sang How Great Thou Art and played my guitar for one and we did a quartet with Elders Ogdon, Self, and Malu that sounded AMAZING. I'm hopefully gonna find the audio and attach it to this email. I really loved it b
